Our Story

A passion for exceptional food and the joy of sharing culinary knowledge brought us together.

Where Flavour Meets Technique

Founded in Sydney in 2018, orbitunive emerged from a simple observation: many people want to cook better but lack access to professional guidance in an approachable setting. We set out to bridge that gap.

Our founders, both veterans of the Australian hospitality industry, believed that culinary education should feel less like a classroom and more like cooking with friends who happen to be chefs. That philosophy shapes everything we do.

Today, we welcome hundreds of guests each year into our purpose-built studio spaces, where stainless steel benches meet warm timber accents, and the aroma of freshly baked bread often fills the air.

Our Approach

Three principles guide every experience we create.

Learn by Doing

Theory has its place, but real skill comes from hands-on practice. Every session is designed around active participation, not passive observation. You will chop, sear, taste, and adjust until the technique becomes intuitive.

Celebrate Local

Australia offers extraordinary produce, from Tasmanian salmon to Queensland tropical fruits. We build our menus around what is fresh and regional, teaching you to source and appreciate ingredients grown close to home.

Connect Through Food

Cooking is inherently social. Our workshops bring strangers together around shared tasks and meals, often creating friendships that extend well beyond the kitchen. Food has that power, and we lean into it.
